why i am a photographer | oman family portraits

It's obvious... I can't draw if my life depended on it.
Honestly, it is because I like to create ideas, work out a solution, and ultimately the perfect portrait. Portrait photography, often times, takes a special idea and solution, this is what I feed off of and love to do... I guess you can call it my passion. Sometimes the idea is grand and requires careful thought and planning.

Most recently a client approached me with a question, "can you photograph my family group of 25?" Living in Oman it was inevitable that this day would come, and I already had the solution in my head. A quick scribble confirmed my hypothesis, it can be done, and it will be beautiful.

Omani culture makes showing my images difficult, something I very much respect and understand. So instead, please be invited inside my head and enjoy my portrait building process for a group of 25. Below is my idea of how the masterpiece should be built, in theory. In practice, everybody slightly shifted around and the center groupings were much tighter... and I omitted the gaffers tape from the actual background ;)

Like I said, I can't draw if my life depended on it.
