cloud dance

7.19.2012

I have finally worked through the technical side of doing long exposure time lapse photography with my D3. The solution is so simple: place the camera on continuous shutter, and lock down the cable release. No need to fuss with the camera functions or buy an expensive timer. With the Long Exposure Noise Reduction (LENR) turned off, I can shoot continuous frames with only a fraction of a second between them.

I captured this one a few nights ago. Really, clouds in Oman? Really! Be sure to choose an HD option.
